Oct 2023 • Solo I’m so glad I found Mallick through TripAdvisor. I contacted him through his website and he promptly responded the same day. We continued our conversation through whatsapp and within a day, I had booked him for a city tour of Dakar. Mallick was punctual in picking me up from my hotel. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and completely at ease with him. He speaks French, Spanish, and English and we were able to converse without any problems. I enjoyed all the sights (African Renaissance monument, Divinity mosque, Goree island, Lac Rose, Soumbédioune market) and also felt safe with Mallick’s driving. He was patient with answering all my questions around Senegalese customs and traditions and I learned a lot from our conversation. I definitely recommend Mallick as a tour guide/driver in Dakar.
Malick took great care of my family for our recent 8 day trip to Senegal, helping us get around as we visited Dakar, Lompoul, and Guereo. He gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and even persuaded the Ecolodge we visited in Lompoul to not charge us for lunch since we were later arriving than planned and missed the meal. He was always early and so professional and organized. My 6 year old daughter does not always warm up to new people easily but she really liked Malick. It was a pleasure getting to know him and I strongly recommend others to reach out to him for any planned trips to beautiful Senegal!
Maleck was incredibly patient with us and very helpful every step of the journey. He picked us up at the airport, gave us good advice every day, took us around Saly and Dakar and spoke all the languages we spoke (french, Spanish, English). He is very knowledgeable, kind and works very hard to make sure we had a good time.
Went to Saly with a couple of buddies for a family wedding, stayed in Senegal a week total...feel very lucky we got connected with Malick right at the beginning! He took us into markets in Saly where I for sure would not have known how to navigate or negotiate for myself, and he had other recommendations for daytime and nightlife in Saly. Last few days we went up to Dakar and he was fully able to transport us to/from the city and the airport, despite the distances. Interesting to talk to, cool dude. Always timely.
Volvimos de Senegal a principios de este mes. Tuvimos la suerte de conocer a Malick y poder viajar con Ă©l durante 9 dĂas. Una de nuestras sorpresas fue que habla perfectamente catalán, asĂ que nos hemos sentido como en familia. Es un guĂa muy profesional, amante de su trabajo y de su paĂs. Muy buen conductor, prudente y tranquilo. Nos ha facilitado el viaje en todos los sentidos y ha conseguido que nuestra estancia allĂ sea perfecta.
